Description:

1. Determine whether ACE inhibitor treatment at stroke onset is neuroprotective in both normotensive and hypertensive animals.

2. Determine whether the degree of blood pressure reduction correlates with stroke outcome.

3. Determine the duration of neuroprotection afforded by post stroke administration of ACE inhibitors with clinically relevant times i.e. 3 and 6 hours post stroke onset.
