Giving Hope Through Research

The Bethlehem Griffiths Research Foundation funds vital research into neurological disorders, stroke and palliative care. Every year there are many more research and PhD applications than the Foundation can fund. You can help our top scientists as well as mid-career researchers in Victoria’s leading research institutes find better cures and treatments by donating today. All donations are tax deductible.

The Foundation receives most of its funding from the estate of the late Glen W.A Griffiths. In 2004, it received a substantial bequest from the estate of the late Margaret Ann Day. Miss Day had a distinguished career in community health and infant welfare nursing before losing her battle with Motor Neuron Disease in 2003. Miss Day specified that her gift should go towards research which has neurological disease as its focus. In 2005, the inaugural Margaret Ann Day scholarship was awarded to research into Parkinson’s Disease. The funds have now been fully expended.

Another substantial bequest was received from the Estate of Yewdell in 2015 and has been used to fund multiple sclerosis projects over the last decade.

Leaving a Lasting Legacy.

If you would like to leave a bequest to help continue the Foundation’s important work for many years you may wish to discuss this with us by calling our CEO, Julienne Lewis on 0409513443.
